Why Do We Sweat?….sweating is a normal bodily function. It assists us when our bodies overheat. The human body holds over 2 million sweat glands and when the body heats up, the body activates the sweat glands creating fluid to be extracted from the blood and changed into sweat which then travels to the surface of the skin and leaves through the pores in the skin. Once on the surface of the skin, this leads to the evaporation of the sweat which then cools the skin which then cools the blood. Cooled blood then goes back to the various bodily organs and muscles to cool them.
